I just heard about VINCE in mildura through a teacher. thought i'd kick off with a post

I am a 26 year old student studying arts at VU. Focusing on film and TV. I make my own short films, and am currently working on my latest short probably for tropfest next year.

Dont really know what else to say. But happy to answer any question or help out with other projects around town.

To give you more information about VINCE,

'The artists formally known as Vince' are a digital media collective who are focused on expanding the options of students in the digital arts.

If you had to sum up Vince in a few words you could say Vince is for Student Support, Community and Exposure.

VINCE is expanding at a dangerously rapid rate, and so are the possibilities. In the long run this means more fun, support and exhibits of your original work.

im Marc, in RMiT. Do mainly concept and digital art. Did work for a company back home for a year before coming here. Would like to get to know the local digital art scene n all. Some of my stuff if anyone is interested.

Thought I'd introduce myself seeing the main forum is being filled rapidly with cool updates and no one's commenting!

I'm Caspian, 20, first year B. Design (Multimedia Systems) at RMIT. After VCE I also did a year of B.Arts at Monash and then 1 year working full time in the digital media industry. I still work at this firm part time - http://www.aspectdigital.net.au (hasn't been updated in a while)

I haven't completely decided what style or medium I want to work in, its insanely hard to choose, but I have to at some stage to improve to an advanced level of anything...

I'm into sound design and music, although don't think I want to work in the sound industry after seeing what its like (12yr days locked in a dark studio editing sound for TV commercials= no thanks) and how hard it is to get into engineering for music.

Although I've done more and improved a lot with production since those.

Also into animation, especially 3d - I'd say I'm intermediate with Autodesk Maya after working with it for quite a while. But not really character stuff - more modelling of environments/architecture etc...not much up yet but: http://www.youtube.com/user/kaiproject

Getting more and more interested in film/tv (especially editing and compositing) as part of my course and my personal development with Adobe AfterEffects.

So as you can see I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none (yet). Hence starting a broad multimedia course!

I am Chandra. I am a ADOM student in my 2nd year at RMIT TAFE. Being just a beginner, I really exited to join the VINCE.
